Roxana Ola is a Junior Professor in the Cardiovascular Pharmacology in the Department of Experimental Pharmacology, Medical Faculty Mannheim, University of Heidelberg. She graduated in Biology and Chemistry in Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj Napoca, Romania, and obtained her PhD in the Faculty of Medicine, Helsinki University. Thereafter she pursued her postdoctoral training at Yale School of Medicine, Cardiovascular Department. Then she was appointed as a Visiting Professor at Transylvania Faculty of Medicine, Brasov, Romania before she started her own group as a Junior Professor at the Medical Faculty Mannheim focusing on cellular and molecular mechanisms controlling vascular quiescence.
