Integrated Research Training Group
"School of Angioscience"

The promotion of young researchers is a central goal of the CRC1366. Therefore, the Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) "School of Angioscience" has been set up to provide training, mentoring and supervision for PhD and MD research students on three levels: (1) within the participating research groups, (2) within existing roof graduate schools (e.g. HBIGS in Heidelberg/Mannheim), and (3) within the angioscience curriculum of the CRC1366. In this curriculum, a combination of de-central courses (“Student Retreats”), summer schools, seminars and a student exchange program is implemented to provide young researchers with CRC 1366-specific scientific, laboratory as well as communication and management skills that will ensure individual success and long-term advance-ment of angioscience research. Moreover, beyond the formal training aspect, the ITRG will be a hub for the junior scientists in the CRC 1366 to promote networking and scientific interactions to foster an atmosphere conducive for the strong collaborative spirit within the CRC 1366.
